Melatonin is a circadian rhythm hormone that affects sleep patterns. Research shows that during deeper sleep stages, cells in the body rejuvenate and repair and CD4 or t helper cells are produced. These are white blood cells that help the body destroy infectious particles that have an antioxidant effect. Melatonin and proves immunity by increasing the deeper stages of sleep. Improved sleep patterns help improve energy and mood. Melatonin has also been shown to reduce migraine headaches and slow Alzheimer's and Dementia.

When do you need it: A Melatonin deficiency results in poor sleep, irritability, hypersensitivity, anxiety, nervousness, tension, panic attacks, social withdrawal, and premature aging.
 


DHEA is a precursor to other sex hormones, including testosterone and estrogen. DHEA causes a shift to an anabolic and protein building states to helps build bone and muscle strength, reduce cardiovascular risk, and increase breakdown of fat.
